Reno Jazz Festival is a three-day celebration at the University of Nevada, Reno that brings together world‑class jazz artists and rising student musicians in a non‑competitive, immersive setting. Participants perform, learn, and grow through expert-led performance reviews, clinics, daytime concerts, and evening jam sessions. With an eye toward equity, community, and artistic evolution, Reno Jazz Festival fosters meaningful connections, artistic discovery, and a deep love for jazz among students and audiences alike.

The Reno Youth Jazz Orchestra is set to light up the Reno Jazz Festival with the kind of energy, precision, and heart that make them one of Northern Nevada’s most exciting young ensembles. Their appearance at this major annual event at the University of Nevada, Reno isn’t just a performance—it’s a showcase of rising talent stepping confidently onto one of the region’s most respected music stages, the Harlan O. & Barbara R. Hall Recital Hall. With bold improvisation, tight ensemble work, and a contagious love of the music, RYJO brings a fresh, youthful spark that reminds audiences why jazz thrives across generations. Their presence adds a vibrant local voice to a festival known for excellence, creativity, and unforgettable musical moments.
